The 4th annual Prince William Sound Youth Expedition is headed into Valdez Arm today. Nine teens from Cordova, Valdez, Chenega Bay, Homer, and Anchorage boarded the Babkin boat in Whittier on June 20th and since then have been exploring Prince William Sound. With stops to monitor marine debris, lingering oil, and environmental change, not to mention the fun of paddling, hiking and watching wildlife, we cannot wait to hear reports and see their media footage. Thanks to partners PWS Regional Citizen’s Advisory Council, Center for Alaska Coastal Studies, Gulf of Alaska Keepers, Anchorage REI, Chugach National Forest, Copper River Watershed Project, and Babkin Charters for your support in making this happen!
